Scheduled tasks still can be managed if domain is suspended or disabled

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

Symptoms

It is possible to enter Scheduled Tasks menu for Plesk admin and create and manually run new tasks for domains and subscriptions in disabled and suspended status:

Tools and Settings > Domains > example.com (in disabled or suspended status) > Scheduled Tasks

Cause

Plesk administrator has maximum permissions enabled, even for suspended or disabled subscriptions. This is default behavior: no tasks or actions should be restricted for Plesk administrator on a server.

Subscriber, on the other hand, cannot manage suspended or disabled subscription, including accessing Scheduled Tasks menu.

If there is domain suspended or disabled but subscription itself is still active, Scheduled Tasks manager remains available on a subscription level. This is default behavior.

Workaround

To prevent subscribers from accessing and managing Scheduled Tasks menu, suspend or disable a subscription, not a domain.
