Unable to access Horde webmail in Plesk installed on CloudLinux server: Invalid regexps: no match for path to base home directory

Symptoms

While accessing to webmail http://webmail.domain.tld/, the following error appears:

    500 Internal Server Error

In suexec log file we see:

SecureLVE jail error Invalid regexps: no match for path to base home directory

Cause

Webmail may work improperly on CloudLinux Server OS if package “cagefs” is installed and enabled for all users.

Resolution

  1. Check whether cageFS package is installed:

    rpm -qa |grep 'cagefs'
    cagefs-safebin-5.0-9.el6.cloudlinux.x86_64
  2. Disable CageFS for all users with this command:

    cagefsctl --disable-all

Or you can disable CageFS for horde_sysuser on server via Plesk Panel > Home > Extensions > CageFS and move horde_sysuser to disabled tab.

  1. Restart Apache:
    /etc/init.d/httpd restart
