Unable to start Dovecot after Plesk installation: Can't open file /etc/dovecot/private/ssl-cert-and-key.pem: No such file or directory

Symptoms

Unable to start 'dovecot' service after Plesk installation:

# /etc/init.d/dovecot start
Starting Dovecot Imap: doveconf: Fatal: Error in configuration file /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf line 50: ssl_cert: Can't open file /etc/dovecot/private/ssl-cert-and-key.pem: No such file or directory
[FAILED]

Cause

Original dovecot package was installed before Plesk installation. This is a software issue with internal ID PPPM-3557 . The fix will be included in further Plesk updates.

Resolution

Reinstall 'plesk-dovecot' using autoinstaller, switching to 'courier' and back to 'dovecot'.

Before performing new installation, make sure that 'dovecot' package is not installed.
