How individual email accounts can be blocked from sending mail to the server?

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 11.0 for Windows
  • Plesk 11.0 for Linux
  • Plesk 11.5 for Linux
  • Plesk
  • Plesk 12.0 for Linux

Resolution

This can be done by adding the account to badmailfrom file located in /usr/local/psa/qmail/control/ directory for the standard build, and /var/qmail/control/ directory for the RPM build.

For example:

    ~# cat /usr/local/psa/qmail/control/badmailfrom
@domain.tld
~#

qmail-smtpd will reject every recipient address for a message, if the envelope sender address is listed in badmailfrom . A line in badmailfrom may be in the form of @domain.tld meaning every address at the host.

Alternatively, Black List can be configured through Plesk:

Server wide:

Home > Tools & Settings > Spam Filter Settings > Black Lists

For particular email:

Home > Subscription > domain > Mail >> click on the email address > Spam filter > Black List
