Incorrect usage of Master Key

Resolution

Master key is key for images and it can not be used for active Plesk instances. This means that MasterKey can be installed on an image with Plesk.

Information

MasterKey is assigned to a pool of IP addresses.

During deployment of a new virtual server from an image with MasterKey installed the license server (Key Administrator server) is being asked about does the new server has IP address installed from a pool of IP addresses. If it is so, the valid actual Plesk license will be installed on new instance.

Master Key license is not designed for existing installations, but only for new ones.
