main::main() called at /opt/psa/admin/bin/plesk_agent_manager line 1323.

Cause

  1. The FTP user specified in the FTP repository settings is not able to create a file or a folder (see below to find out how to verify this).

    # ftp 192.168.1.10
    Connected to 192.168.1.10
    220 (vsFTPd 2.3.5)
    Name (192.168.1.10:root): user
    331 Please specify the password.
    Password:
    230 Login successful.
    Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.

    ftp> dir
    227 Entering Passive Mode (89,144,56,250,53,84).
150 Here comes the directory listing.
    -rw------- 1 0 0 860192768 Jul 08 19:32 backup.tar
    drwx------ 2 1003 1003 16384 Dec 07 2011 lost+found
    226 Directory send OK.

    ftp> mkdir direc
    550 Create directory operation failed.

    ftp> put file
    local: file remote: file
    227 Entering Passive Mode (89,144,56,250,38,94).
    553 Could not create file.
  2. There is an extra space in the Directory for backup files storage field. This is considered to be a software issue and has been submitted to the Plesk Service Team as an internal issue with ID PPPM-857 .

Resolution

  1. Make sure that the FTP user (used for uploading backups to the FTP repository) is able to create files/folders.

  2. Remove the extra space in the Backup Manager > Personal FTP Repository Settings > Directory for backup files storage field.
