Question

Why Kaspersky Antivirus shipped with Plesk does not block executable content which can be potentially harmfull?

Answer

Kaspresky Antivirus is an antivirus software which checks mail messages for viruses.

An executable content should be filtered by attachment blocker. Attachment blocker can be configured in external mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook. Horde or MailEnable webmail clients does not support such functionality.

To make sure that Kaspersky Antivirus works check article KB #213910905 how to test SpamAssassin or antivirus software in Plesk.
