Unable to create the mail account from Plesk:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: Unable to update the mail account properties:mailmng failed: Can't create mail name.
Domain: example.com [example.com].
Mail name: account.
Failed to add the user 'email@example.com'. That name is already being used.
(Error code 1)
SmarterMail is used as a mail server.
Those mail accounts are already present in Smartermail.
- Connect to the server via RDP.
- Take a backup of the directory
C:\SmarterMail\Domains\example.com(the folder path can be different depending on SmarterMail installation folder)
- Log in to SmarterMail admin panel and remove accounts which are being created or whole domain
mchkutility in Command Prompt to re-create domain:
C:\> "%plesk_bin%\\mchk.exe" --domain --domain-name=example.com --fix=local
- Restore directory
