Symptoms

  • Plesk Obsidian version is 18.0.52 or lower:

    # plesk version
    Product version: Plesk Obsidian 18.0.52.3

  • Plesk interface is not accessible with the following error message in a web browser:

    PLESK_INFO: Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version ">= 8.2.0".

Cause

Newer version of Docker is not compatible with Plesk version 18.0.52 and lower.

Resolution

  1. Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.

  2. Download the Docker extension package for Plesk Obsidian version 18.0.52 and lower:

    # wget https://ext.plesk.com/packages/e029a753-2d7f-4e2e-8e23-6106f3fdd09f-docker/download?1.7.1-1230 -O docker_ext_1.7.1-1230

  3. Install it:

    # plesk bin extension --install dockerext1.7.1-1230

  4. Update Plesk to the latest Obsidian release.

    it should read: "plesk bin extension --install docker_ext_1.7.1-1230"
    This is the name of the downloaded package, not dockerext1.7.1-1230, right?
