Plesk for Linux
kb: technical
Applicable to:
- Plesk for Linux
Symptoms
Unable to activate Modsecurity with Atomic Standard rules in Tools and Settings > Web Application Firewall:
modsecurity_ctl failed: Atomic Updater Modified (AUM) Installer (v6.0.0)
Package 1:aum-5.0-18502.el7.art.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do
To complete installation run:
aum -configure
and to update your rules:
aum -upgrade
Cause
A temporary issue on the Atomic side, which was fixed.
That Atomic Standard ruleset depends on the installation of "lua-socket-3.0-0.17", which is provided by EPEL repository. Since Plesk doesn't install EPEL, if the server doesn't have it, the installation will fail. After reporting to Atomic, they've added that package to the tortix-common, which is installed with ModSecurity
DUPLICATE:
Resolution
- Log into Plesk
- Activate Modsecurity with Atomic Standard rules again at Tools and Settings > Web Application
