How to uninstall Plesk for Linux?

Answer

Warning: After Plesk uninstallation, some system services may stop working due to their close integration with Plesk. Before removing Plesk for Linux, it is recommended to create a server snapshot to have a system restore point.

To remove Plesk, follow these steps:

  1. Connect to the Plesk server via SSH.

  2. Run the following command to remove Plesk and all its components:

    # plesk installer --remove-everything

    Fails with the following error on Ubuntu 22.04. I tried 2 different IONOS VPS accounts. IONOS reimage is currently broken, so that's not an option.

    Unexpected 'N5boost10filesystem16filesystem_errorE' caught: boost::filesystem::permissions: No such file or directory [system:2]: "/etc/apt/keyrings/plesk.gpg"
