I am trying to discover if Plesk Onyx 17.8 includes support for Apache Tomcat.  Your website says the Tomcat support is "deprecated" but this article seems to say it is discontinued - not at all the same as "deprecated".

I am one of the few professional java web app developers - a declining population as you note.

I am distressed to see reputable technology providers like yours deciding to "dumb down" their products because the newer generation of developers are unwilling to learn robust and secure programming languages in favour of "quick and easy" solutions.

    Hello @Gerard Matte,

    Thank you for the feedback

I changed the article title to the correct one "Discontinued support of features and components in Plesk Onyx 17.8"

Right now, there is a discussion about WildFly support implementation instead of dropped Tomcat:

    Plesk Uservoice | Wildfly support

Feel free to leave your voice for this feature as well as a comment - you could share your thoughts directly with our developers this way
