The blank page is shown for the webmail of the example.com domain: the incorrect IP address is set for the domain

Symptoms

  • In an attempt to access the webmail.example.com, the blank page is shown.

  • The 203.0.113.3 IP is set for the domain example.com in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Web Hosting Access.

  • Using the DNS Checker utility, it can be found that webmail.example.com globally resolves to another 203.0.113.2 IP address:

  • The 203.0.113.2 and 203.0.113.3 IP addresses can be found in Tools & Settings > IP addresses. 

Cause

The IP address that is set for the domain example.com on the server-side does not match the IP specified on the external DNS side. 

Resolution

  1. Log into Plesk.
  2. Go to Domains > example.com > Web Hosting Access.
  3. From the drop-down menu IP Addresses, select the 203.0.113.2 IP address.
  4. Press the OK button to apply the changes.
