- Plesk Onyx for Windows
Several websites do not work with the following error:
CONFIG_TEXT: HTTP Error 500.52 - URL Rewrite Module Error.
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.
Using the utility Failed Requests Tracing in Domains > example.com gives the following information:
CONFIG_TEXT: ModuleName RewriteModule
HttpReason URL Rewrite Module Error.
ErrorCode Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
- WordPress Toolkit version 3.5.0 or lower is installed on the server (can be checked in Extensions > My Extensions).

Note: This article is intended for use by administrators of Plesk servers. In case there is no administrative access to the Plesk interface or no administrative RDP access, contact the server administrator or server provider.
Go to Extensions > My Extensions and check the version of the WordPress Toolkit.
If the version is less than 3.5.1, go to Extensions > Updates and click Check Now.
Select WordPress Toolkit and click Update:
4.1. If Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 is used, go to Extensions > Extensions Catalog and click Upgrade next to WordPress Toolkit.
Connect to the server using RDP.
C:\> iisreset /stop
Type the command below and press the Enter button:
Find IIS URL Rewrite Module 2 in the programs list and click the Uninstall button.
Go to the
Double click on the folder which name is starting from the
PANEL-WIN(the further symbols depends on the product version):
thirdparty-msi-Windows-any-x86_64folder and double-click on the file starting from the
rewrite_7.2(the further symbols depends on the product version):
Follow the Setup Wizard instructions to complete the installation of the URL Rewrite Module.
