CONFIG_TEXT: 403 Forbidden
In Plesk for Linux the following error can be found in the domain Apache logs
CONFIG_TEXT: [autoindex:error] [pid 30047] [client 203.0.113.2:36811] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /var/www/vhosts/example/httpdocs/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html,index.cgi,index.pl,index.php,index.xhtml,index.htm,index.shtml) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive
- All the website content is located in the custom Document root (i.e.
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/subdomains/app/httpdocsin Plesk for Linux or
%plesk_vhosts%example.com\subdomains\app\httpdocsin Plesk for Windows) instead of the default one(
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocsin Plesk for Linux or
%plesk_vhosts%example.com\httpdocsin Plesk for Windows).
- Log into Plesk
- Make sure that the error is the same as in symptoms.
- Modify the Document Root in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings setting the default one - /httpdocs:
Note: If the menu is absent or different, contact server's administrator/Hosting Provider or upgrade to the latest Plesk version.
