Question
How to import/export DNS zones from/to a file in Plesk?
Answer
The Transfer of DNS Records extension allows importing and exporting DNS records in the Plesk Panel.
- Log into Plesk
- Install the extension Transfer of DNS Records.
- Select the domain and choose Import or Export:
Exporting will output the records to a *.bind file.
Importing will prompt for a bind file:

Thanks! I've been missing this functionality! Oddly, I found the html frontend was missing many of my plesk domain names in the search, but I was able to use the cli interface to do the export/import using the domain id.
The extension support link was just https://www.plesk.com/support/ so I hoped commenting here might be a good start.
Thanks!
Web Services hi! could you provide more information on this such as an error message? Is the issue still there? I would recommend opening a support ticket with us How to submit a request to Plesk support?https://support.plesk.com › en-us › articles › 21360850...
Sure, I can open a support ticket. There is no error message.
I followed the steps but can only see 5 domains listed out of the 100+ we host on this Plesk server. I cannot choose the domain I need to.
I can see 15 domains of 277
Same issue / me too.
Doesn't detect any of the domains on our 18.0.42 server. Also doesn't work on out of date Plesk like 18.0.31 so not much use if you're trying to migrate from an old server. Such a simple app really should be working on any version of Plesk to create a bind file.
Having this Transfer of DNS Records extension working correctly would be so helpful for adding domains to Cloudflare now that Cloudflare no longer imports the DNS records automatically. It would save a lot of manual entry as Cloudflare will accept a bind file if this extension worked for all domains rather than just 5.
