- Plesk for Linux
Service plan synchronization takes a lot of time or fails completely with the following error:
Unable to sync subscriptions with the service plan
Apache hangs on the attempt to perform a migration.
- The server is slow, web-server constantly crashes, the output of top utility shows that systemd process consumes about 100% CPU.
- Web service became unresponsive gradually after reboot. A reboot resolves the issue temporarily.
Checking service status using Plesk utilities consumes a noticeable amount of time than right after reboot:
# time plesk sbin apache_control_adapter --status
There are a lot of abandoned systemd scope units on the server:
# systemctl | grep abandoned | wc -l
The issue caused by the bug registered with ID #PPPM-7414. It will be fixed in future Plesk updates.
As a workaround, create a scheduled task which will stop abandoned units:
Go to Tools & Settings > Scheduled Tasks.
Create hourly task to run the following command:
# systemctl | grep abandoned | grep -e "[[:digit:]]" | sed "s/.scope.*/.scope/" | xargs systemctl stop
