- Plesk Onyx 17.5 for Windows
Why does Plesk create a wildcard IP binding instead of exact IP?
Because all vhost configuration in IIS is saved to the global configuration file:
, and binding websites to their exact IP addresses severely increases the size of
when both IPv6 and IPv4 are present.
The bigger the resulting file is, the worse the performance of IIS and Plesk becomes.
Note: This behavior was introduced in Plesk Onyx 17.5.
