pingcommand on a Plesk server fails with the error:
# ping example.com
ping: example.com: Name or service not known
Curl command shows the following error:
# curl http://example.com
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: example.com
Unable to secure a domain with a Let's Encrypt certificate due to the following error:
PLESK_ERROR: Could not issue a Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS certificate for example.com
Failed to connect to the Let's Encrypt server https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org.
Please try again later or report the issue to support.
Could not obtain directory:
License installation fails with the following error:
PLESK_ERROR: cURL cannot communicate with license server https://id-00.kaid.plesk.com:443/ (): Couldn't resolve host name(6) cURL cannot communicate with license server https://id-00.kaid.plesk.com:443/ (): Couldn't resolve host name(6) (Error code: 2)
The DNS resolver specified in the
/etc/resolv.conf file cannot resolve domain names.
Connect to the server via SSH.
/etc/resolv.conffile via any text editor, comment out the invalid resolver by adding the "#" character at the beginning of the row and specify the correct one, e.g. Google's public DNS servers:
CONFIG_TEXT: nameserver 203.0.113.2
CONFIG_TEXT: #nameserver 203.0.113.2
