Unable to send emails from a domain
example1.comto a domain
example2.com. Messages are bounced back with the following error:
CONFIG_TEXT: Recipient: [SMTP:email@example.com]
Reason: 551 This mail server requires authentication before sending mail from a locally hosted domain. Please reconfigure your mail client to authenticate before sending mail.
- Globally sender's domain
example1.comresolves to 203.0.113.2 and reciever's domain
example2.comresolves to 203.0.113.4:
C:\> dig example1.com +short
C:\> dig example2.com +short
However, when checking
example1.comon the destination DNS server the sender's domain IP address resolves to reciever's domain IP address:
C:\> dig example1.com @203.0.113.4 +short
The sender's domain
example1.com exists on the destination server and is considered as a local domain.
example1.com should be deleted from the receiving mail server. Contact system administrator of the receiving mail server.
