The following directories contain temporary backup files which were left after backup creation. For example:
# du -sh /opt/psa/PMM/tmp/
# du -sh /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp
Is it safe to delete temporary backup files on Linux?
Temporary backup files can be safely deleted if there are no backup tasks running on the server.
1. Check if there are backup tasks running on the server:
# plesk sbin pmmcli --get-tasks-list Backup | grep working
2. Determine Backup Manager temporary files directories location:
# cat /etc/psa/psa.conf | grep DUMP
3. Clean up the temporary files:
# rm -rf /opt/psa/PMM/tmp/*
# rm -rf /usr/local/psa/PMM/tmp/*
Note: The fact that temporal backup files weren't deleted automatically can indicate that backup wasn't created properly.
