Application installation, e.g WordPress or Magento or Drupal 8, fails with one of the following errors in Plesk UI:
PLESK_INFO: The 'mysql' extension was not found
PLESK_INFO: The 'mysqlnd' extension was not found.
PLESK_INFO: Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.
PHP handler selected for the domain does not have
mysqlnd extension is disabled.
Check which version of PHP handler is selected in Plesk in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings:
Enable extension from the error, e.g
mysqlone, for the PHP version from the previous step in Plesk in Tools & Settings > PHP Settings > 5.4.16 by OS vendor FastCGI application:
Warning: PHP version shipped with Ubuntu 16.04 does not have
Switch PHP version from by OS vendor to any other shipped by Plesk in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings.
mysqlextension is deprecated and has been removed for PHP 7.0 and above. Instead of it
pdo_mysqlshould be used.
Check in Plesk in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings > View the phpinfo() page that corresponding extension, e.g.
mysql, has been enabled:
Re-initiate the installation of the application.
