An email address email@example.com does not have a mailbox and is set as forwarding in Plesk.
When sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, it bounces with the following error message:
PLESK_INFO: MailEnable: Message could not be delivered to some recipients.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
Reason: Remote SMTP Server Returned: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local.
The email address email@example.com is not listed in the forwarding list of the email address firstname.lastname@example.org and does not exist in Plesk.
The email address email@example.com exists in MailEnable configuration.
Connect to the Plesk server via RDP.
Go to Windows Start > All Programs > MailEnable > MailEnable.
In the MailEnable management console go to Messaging Manager > Post Offices > example.com > Mailboxes > right-click on firstname.lastname@example.org to open its Properties > Redirection tab.
Select the mailbox that does not exist in Plesk and click Remove.
- Click OK to apply the changes.
