Server backup finishes with warnings if there is a Let's Encrypt certificate installed

Applicable to:

  • Plesk for Windows

Symptoms

Server backup finishes with warnings if there is a let's encrypt certificate installed:

[WARNING]: [e4dfb1b5-edcb-487b-bd12-d91e1a836b1f]: Unable to check existence of the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Plesk\var\modules\letsencrypt\etc\live\example.com\cert.pem. The file will not be archived. [:8449200]

Cause

Let's encrypt certificate is installed on a domain. This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-6126 which will be fixed in future updates.

Resolution

As a workaround, apply a patched file:

1. Extract file pmmarchiver.dll from the archive .

2. Backup file from the server by renaming it. The file can be found in its standard location:
%plesk_bin%pmmarchiver.dll

3. Replace the backed up file with a patched one.

Tuve el mismo problema, reemplace el archivo y funciono bn, pero a los dias volvia y se repetia el mismo problema, opte por crear un CRON que me sobreescribiera el archivo 30 min antes de la hora programada para el backup asi:

    pmmarchiver.bat

    @echo off
    c:
    cd C:\Users\Administrador\Dropbox\pmmarchiver\
    copy pmmarchiver.dll "%plesk_bin%"\*.* /y
    dir "%plesk_bin%"\pmmarchiver.dll

Los arreglos personalizados (o custom fix) puede ser sobreescritos por una microupdate de Plesk, así que gracias por compartir un workaround.
