How to migrate Plesk without source root user password?
Plesk Migrator requires root access to the source server.
If the root password for the source server cannot be obtained, it's also possible to run migration with ssh key authentication or via Site Import extension:
Connect to the server via SSH.
PermitRootLoginparameter to yes in
`/etc/ssh/sshd_config`file on the source server.
Restart SSH service:
# service sshd restart
Once a remote login is enabled, follow next steps:
In target server generate ssh key with the following command:
# ssh-keygen -t rsa
During the key pair generation, specify the directory for storing it (usually it is
/root/.ssh/id_rsa) and do not enter a passphrase.
From target server, copy the public key to the source server using the command:
# ssh-copy-id <user name>@<IP address>

<IP address>is the IP address of the source server.
