Symptoms

PHP version and handler cannot not be changed for a domain:

Access is denied.

The following messages are present in /var/log/plesk/panel.log:

Cause

A bug with ID # PPPM-6030 which was fixed in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 Update 8.

Resolution

Upgrade to the latest Plesk version .
