    Hi!

I unfortunatly add a certificat to the plesk mail server, following plesk sugestions. I want to remove oit as with wildcard certificat i had better service for my clients. Triied your suggestion but it does not work, i have this message:

    Unable to remove SSL/TLS certificates.
One of the certificates you are going to delete is used for securing the mail server.

    How can i handle that?

    Thx for your help!

Like Frederic, I am unable to remove a certificate from our server (Windows Server 2012 R2). I have a Lets Encrypt certificate which expired a few months ago, and which I would like to remove. It is listed under Tools/Settings -> SSL/TLS Certificates only. It is not listed in the SSL/TLS Certificates lists under any subscriptions or domains in Plesk. It is not used for securing Plesk or mail, nor for securing any domains. As far as I can tell, it is not used at all.

But the Tools/Settings -> SSL/TLS Certificates list claims that it has a Used count of 1, so I cannot delete it. I get the following error message when I try:

    Unable to remove SSL/TLS certificates.
One or several certificates are assigned to the IP addresses/domains.

I cannot find a way to figure out WHERE this stray certificate is being used. I’ve looked through every subscription, domain and subdomain there is, and it is not used anywhere there. The only certificate in use anywhere is a (later) wildcard Lets Encrypt certificate which should be – and is – used for everything. On the server itself, when I open IIS Manager -> [server name] -> Server Certificates, this certificate does not appear on the list, so I cannot troubleshoot or remove it from that end either.

This is clearly not the same issue as Frederic’s, though the error message is similar, and the article linked to by Julian does not address my issue.

How can I get rid of this certificate?
