- Plesk for Linux
After accepting to create a certificate from Let's encrypt to the domain, Plesk does nothing, it returns back to the domain.
Additionally, the following error may be shown:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: Let's Encrypt SSL certificate installation failed: filemng failed: filemng: Error occurred during /bin/mkdir command
file to enable debug mode , and then one of the following errors is shown in
CONFIG_TEXT: stderr: filemng: Cannot open destination file '/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/.well-known/acme-challenge/.htaccess.hU8dyF'
System error 13: Permission denied
CONFIG_TEXT: [extension/letsencrypt] Cannot renew certificate on domain example.com with error: filemng failed: filemng: Error occurred during /bin/mkdir command
.well-known folder is owned by non-subscription user.
Connect to the server using SSH and run automatic permissions repair:
# plesk repair fs -y
If the issue persists, remove .well-known folder from httpdocs as root:
# rm -rf /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/.well-known
Change vhosts permissions if required:
# chown -R example.psacln /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs
Try to request a certificate again.
