405 Not Allowed is shown while uploading license key or using Let's Encrypt extension

  • Plesk Onyx for Linux

Symptoms

On attempt to upload license key for a new Plesk installation:

405 Not Allowed

The same error may be shown while trying to obtain a Let's Encrypt certificate.

Time stamp in sw-engine log differs from the server time:

# date
Thu May  4 15:25:14 UTC 2017
# tail -fn0 /var/log/sw-cp-server/sw-engine.log

Cause

sw-engine uses incorrect time.

Resolution

Restart the service:

# service sw-engine restart
