Cannot add FTP Storage in Backup Manager: Transport error: unable to list directory

Symptoms

The following error occurs while truing to add FTP Storage in Backup Manager:

Transport error: unable to list directory: Curl error: (35) SSL connect error: Last FTP request: LIST -a Last FTP response: 150 Opening data channel for directory listing of "/check0"

Curl utility shows the following error:

# curl -v ftps://backup.example.com:990 --user vcore:Testing1 --insecure
curl: (35) SSL connect error

Cause

This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-6165 that was fixed in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 Update 8 .

Resolution

Install the latest Plesk micro-updates .

The following workaround is available for Plesk Onyx 17.0 and 17.5 on CentOS 6:

1. Upload to the server the fix from the attachment, unpack it and replace /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/pmm-ras file


2. Set the following parameter in /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/panel.ini file:

[pmm]
ftpForbidReuseConnection = 1
