Index cache file stored in
is calculated by Plesk statistics causing mail quota for particular domain exceeding its limit. This behavior is caused by the bug with ID PPPM-6617 .
How to exclude this file in order to prevent mail quota being exceeded for Plesk 12.5 and lower?
Upgrade Plesk to the latest version using Plesk installer.
As a workaround, change a directory where Dovecot stores its cache files which is by default domains maildir directory:
Connect to server over SSH.
Create a directory for cache files:
# mkdir /var/qmail/indexes
Set correct permissions:
# chown popuser:popuser /var/qmail/indexes
Create a new configuration file for dovecot:
# vi /etc/dovecot/conf.d/newconfiguration.conf
Put the following lines into the configuration file:
CONFIG_TEXT: mail_location = maildir:/var/qmail/mailnames/%Ld/%Ln/Maildir:INDEX=/var/qmail/indexes/%Ld/%Ln
Restart dovecot service:
# systemctl restart dovecot.service
