Maildirsize changes to 1 after executing "plesk repair mail example.com"

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux
  • Plesk Onyx for Linux

Symptoms

  • Mailbox size is set to Unlimited.
  • After executing # plesk repair mail example.com utility incorrect value appears in /var/qmail/mailnames/example.org/Maildir/maildirsize file (1 instead of 0)
    • Before:
      # cat /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/test/Maildir/maildirsize
      0S,0C
      
    • After:
      # cat /var/qmail/mailnames/example.com/test/Maildir/maildirsize
      1S,0C
      

Cause

This is Plesk bug with ID #PPPM-6140 ; the fix is considered to be included in one of the next Plesk updates.

Workaround

Note: the workaround is available for Plesk 12.5 and 17.0 for following OSes: Centos 6, Redhat 6 and Cloudlinux 6, Debian.

Replace /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mailname_repair.worker file with one from the corresponding file in the attachment.
