Unable to edit port box in the tab Firewall rules

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Onyx 17.5 for Windows

Symptoms

Unable to edit port box in the tab Home > Tools & Settings > Firewall > Firewall rules for the following rules:

Web Server (HTTP)
Telnet server
Post-Office Protocol Version 3 (POP3)
Secure Web Server (HTTPS)
RDP (3389)

Port can be changed with no errors to the custom one via Windows Firewall directly.

Resolution

Such behavior is by design. It is implemented in that way to decrease number of the errors with firewall configurations and to prevent breaking something on server.

Ability to manage all Firewall rules is a new functionality for Plesk and a point to improve firewall feature. Report this by referring to the following link: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions

The top-ranked suggestions are likely to be included in the next versions of Plesk.

As a workaround, customize ports directly in Windows Firewall.
