- Plesk for Linux
How to make .htaccess active for a particular domain?
To make .htaccess accessible, AllowOverride option needs to be configured to "All" or another desired value.
AllowOverride option for a particular domain may be set in Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings > Additional HTTP directives.
Note: Additional directives for HTTP and Additional directives for HTTPS fields are available only for Plesk admin user.
Log into Plesk;
Set required value in Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings > Additional HTTP directives as follows:
CONFIG_TEXT: <Directory /var/www/vhosts/example.com/>
Serve static files directly by nginx and Smart static files processing must be disabled if .htaccess should be processing static files
Proxy mode must be disabled: .htaccess is ignored if "Proxy mode" is turned off
