Is it possible to create a mailbox or configure mail forwarding for a domain alias in Plesk?
The feature of creating mailboxes under domain aliases is yet to be implemented. Instead, the mailboxes of the primary domain are used.

The current implementation shows that:
If the Mail service option is enabled during domain alias creation, the mailboxes created under the primary domain will also be available under the alias.
If the mail is sent to a mailbox on the domain alias (email@example.com), it will be forwarded to the mailbox with the same name on the primary domain (firstname.lastname@example.org).
So the necessary forwarding rules can be configured on the mailboxes of the primary domain.
This seems to have changed recently as it appears no longer possible to add email alias from another domain to the primary domain.
For example, I have primarydomain.uk as the primary domain. I then have secondarydomain.co.uk as a domain alias of primarydomain.uk. Mail service is enabled on both. When I go to an email address on primarydomain.uk, and go to "Email Aliases" tab, I can only add email aliases for @primarydomain.uk and no other option.
You have an email address email@example.com. Then you set up an alias for primarydomain.uk, for example, secondarydomain.co.uk. If you select the Mail service option, all mail sent to firstname.lastname@example.org will be available at email@example.com.
So it is not needed to create a mailbox on the alias domain. Mailbox corresponding to primary domain's mailbox is created automatically.
This function is a really really headache. It is not intended for highly scalable multisites..
For multisite wordpress sites for example with 400 installations this is useless.
Hello, can you tell us when you will implement this? I just migrated from Direct Admin to Plesk and I can't send email from the domain alias. I have a WP website with 4 domains which 3 are under aliases and I can only receive emails from the alias domain but can't send them! Do you have any workaround?
