- The following error occurs on an attempt to open a website:
CONFIG_TEXT: Extension php_mssql.dll must be enabled. To enable it go to your php.ini and search for 'extension=php_mssql.dll' and remove the ';' from front.
;extension=php_mssql.dll - Disabled
extension=php_mssql.dll - Enabled
- PHP version under Domains > example.com > PHP Settings is 5.3 or higher.
php_mssql extension is not supported since PHP version 5.3.
- Install PHP 5.2 via Tools & Settings > Updates & Upgrades;
- Change PHP version to 5.2 in Domains > example.com > PHP Settings.
Note: Despite the fact that
php_mssql.dll was dropped since PHP 5.3, it was replaced with
php_pdo_sqlsrv_56_nts.dll (for PHP 5.6 for example). To use modern PHP handler, it is required to adjust website's code accordingly (replace
mssql_connect function with
sqlsrv_connect function as an example of such adjustment). If this is not possible, then the only way would be using the older versions of PHP.
