- Plesk for Linux
How to make postfix use certain IP address for SMTP? There are 2 IP addresses on the server and only one is required not to be used for incoming SMTP connections.
The feature that is reported is yet to be implemented in Plesk, thus take part in our product improvement by referring to the following link: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions
The top-ranked suggestions are likely to be included in the next versions of Plesk.
For the time being use the following workarounds:
1. Block connections using Firewall:
# iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 25 -d 203.0.113.2 -j DROP
2. To configure postfix manually to use 203.0.113.3 only, execute the following:
# postconf -e inet_interfaces=203.0.113.3
# service postfix restart
Verify that everything is working as it is set:
# netstat -tulpn | grep :25
# tail -f /var/log/maillog
