    Hello,

    The Answer for CentOS/RedHat may need an update.  On CentOS 7, I believe, the cron.daily tasks are scheduled in "/etc/anacrontab".

    Best Regards,
    Bob

    Hello @Bob B!

    Please let me clarify that Anacron service may be installed or not in initilal Centos/RedHat OS.
    The initial file for running tasks is /etc/cron.d/dailyjobs.

    This file contains the following lines:

    23 3 * * * root [ ! -f /etc/cron.hourly/0anacron ] && run-parts /etc/cron.daily

    The script checks if Anacron file /etc/cron.hourly/0anacron persists. If the file is missing, /etc/cron.daily runs.
