- Plesk for Linux
Websites go up and down while creating, removing domains or changing domain settings
during installation or removing applications from Application Catalog;
- During the down period, sites show the error:
CONFIG_TEXT: 502 Bad Gateway
In Tools & Settings > Apache Web Server, the Apache restart interval value is set to 0.
Apache restart interval is set to 0.
When users perform operations with domains and subdomains (such as creating, removing, or changing their configurations), the changes take effect only after the restart of Apache.
When domains are created one after another, Apache keeps restarting, and the websites keep going down.
The Apache restart interval value specifies how often Apache checks for the configuration changes and restarts if there were any.
When the interval is set to 0, Apache restarts immediately after the changes are done.
To resolve the issue, set up the Apache restart interval to a value higher than 0, e.g. 600 (the value in seconds)
