Slave DNS Extension does not create zones on a Slave DNS;
In Extensions > Slave DNS Manager Slave DNS server is shown as up and running:
Note: the status changes when the master server tries to manage the slave
Slave DNS server listens to TCP port 953:
# netstat -tulpn | egrep ':53|953'

Plesk server is unable to connect to port 953:

No firewall rules blocking 953 TCP port on Slave server are configured:

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT 7564 packets, 610K bytes)
pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination
Extension connection to TCP port 953 for managing slave DNS is blocked by an intermediate firewall.
Reconfigure intermediate firewall to allow connections to port 953.
