Symptoms
- On attempt to add CNAME record like below Domains > example.com > DNS Settings or Tools & Settings > DNS Template :
The error appears:
For single domainPLESK_ERROR: This record will conflict with the glue record for the zone 'example.com'
For DNS template:
PLESK_ERROR: CNAME DNS zone record cannot coexist with other DNS records in the same zone.
Cause
Adding such records is prohibited by RFC1912 hence it is not possible to add them via Plesk.
Resolution
This limitation is not applied to ALIAS or ANAME DNS records, however, the feature of adding such DNS records is yet to be implemented in Plesk.

Warning: Adding such records manually to DNS zone files will lead BIND server to fail to restart.
