The subscription cannot be created: The IP pool is empty

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.5 for Linux

  1. It is not possible to create a domain or subscription. Plesk shows the following on domain/subscription creation screen:

The subscription cannot be created: The IP pool is empty
  2. On attempt to create a domain/subscription Plesk shows the following error:

    Internal error.
ERROR: Call to a member function getRestartInterval() on null (Structure.php:43)
  3. Some components are shown as not installed in Tools & Settings > Server Components :

    Refresh does not help.

  4. Attempt to re-install microupdates fails with the errors like:

    dpkg: error processing apache2 (--configure):
    dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
    dpkg: error processing mysql-server-5.5 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Also, the following error can be found in /tmp/autoinstaller3.log :

insserv: There is a loop between service monit and kavehost if stopped
insserv: loop involving service kavehost at depth 2
insserv: loop involving service monit at depth 1
insserv: Stopping kavehost depends on monit and therefore on system facility `$all' which can not be true!
insserv: exiting now without changing boot order!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header

Conflict between start-up scripts of monit and kavehost services.

  1. Remove monit from start-up:

    # mv -fv /etc/init.d/monit /root/
    # update-rc.d -f monit remove
  2. Re-install microupdates:

    # plesk installer --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --upgrade-installed-components
  3. Fix broken dependencies and re-configure packages with:

    # apt-get install -f
  4. Refresh components in Plesk Tools & Settings > Server Components .
