If database name contains a dot, the warning is shown during statistics calculation: Unable to get dir size

Applicable to:

  • Plesk Onyx for Linux

If database name contains a dot (for example, example.db ), then the following warning is shown during statistics calculation:

WARNING during statistics_collector execution: : statistics_collector[16136]: Unable to get dir size of /var/lib/mysql/example.db

Cause

It is Plesk bug with ID # PPPM-5978 . The fix is planned to be included in one of the next Plesk updates.

Resolution

Until a fix becomes available, the custom fix could be used. Use the following steps to apply it:

  1. Download and unpack the archive with the fix :

    # wget https://plesk.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/115002770365/statistics_collector.tar.gz
    # gunzip statistics_collector.tar.gz
    # tar -xvf statistics_collector.tar
  2. Back up and replace the /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics_collector file and set the correct permissions:

    # cp /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics_collector{,.orig}
    # cp -f statistics_collector /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics_collector
    # chmod 750 /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics_collector
