- Plesk for Linux
After installing an SSL certificate on a domain, instead of content, the website shows:
PLESK_INFO: This is the placeholder for domain example.com. If you see this page after uploading site content you probably have not replaced the index.html file.
There are both httpdocs and httpsdocs directories inside the domain directory:
# ls -ld /var/www/vhosts/example.com/http*
drwxr-x--- 18 user psaserv 4096 Mar 31 2008 /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs
drwxr-x--- 4 user psaserv 4096 Sep 3 2005 /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpsdocs
Plesk was upgraded or migrated from the version 11.0 or older:
# plesk db "select version_info from upgrade_history"
| version_info |
| 10.4.4 |
The compatibility mode is enabled at Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings.
Go to Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings.
Disable the option Run the website in compatibility mode for the legacy option "Separate SSL and non-SSL content" and apply the changes.
