Unable to access a website due to one of the following errors:
CONFIG_TEXT: Authentication required
CONFIG_TEXT: 401 Authorization Required
When opening phpinfo page at Domains > example.com > PHP Settings > View the phpinfo() page, the following error is shown:
PLESK_ERROR: Error: Unable to retrieve information about the PHP configuration.
The Document Root ("/") is added to the list of protected directories under Plesk > Domains > example.com > Password-Protected Directories.
Password Directory Protection is set for the Document Root ("/").
As a result, website visitors unable to get the website content without authorization.
Perform one of the following solutions:
Disable the Password Directory Protection for the Document Root ("/"):
Navigate to Plesk > Domains > example.com > Password-Protected Directories.
Select document root directory and click the Remove Protection button:
Add a user and allow him to access the website by using a password:
In case if Document Root ("/") is required under Password Directory Protection and it is required to be able to check PHP info for a domain, create phpinfo.php file under domains Document Root and it will be possible to access a domain's phpinfo after entering the credentials.
