Applicable to:

  • Plesk for Linux

Symptoms

  1. "File Upload Failed" error appears while uploading the file via the roundcube. File actually gets attached.
    An_error_occured_.JPG

  2. Settings tab shows blank screen.

  3. Chrome DevTools (F12) in network tab shows following error:

Refused to display 'URL' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'DENY'.

Cause

Incorrect Apache settings. Directive Header set X-Frame-Options is set to DENY .

Resolution

  1. Find the definition of the directive Header set X-Frame-Options :

    # grep -ir 'X-Frame-Options' /etc/httpd/
    /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf:Header always set X-Frame-Options DENY
  2. Set Header set X-Frame-Options to "SAMEORIGIN".

  3. Reload Apache:

    # service httpd reload

Note: It is recommended to define this option for particular sites or use custom templates to avoid unwanted impact to the applications which use frames\iframes for work.
