- Plesk for Linux
Note: This article has the reference to the issue with the fix available:
- #PMT-3545 "MySQL server databases could not be migrated from DirectAdmin if a remote MySQL server was used on the source server."
If remote database server is configured on a source server where DirectAdmin is installed, Plesk Migrator ignores it and try to find the databases on the source server itself. As a result, the following error appears during the migration:
Failed to copy content of database '<database_name>'
Migration tools tried to perform operation in 3 attempts: Command execution failed on the source server 'directadmin' (203.0.113.2) with non-zero exit code.
command: MYSQL_PWD="$(cat)" mysqldump --no-defaults -h localhost -P 3306 -uuser --quick --quote-names --add-drop-table --default-character-set=utf8 --set-charset --routines <database_name> > /tmp/db-dumps/<database_name>.sql
exit code: 2
stderr: mysqldump: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) when trying to connect
This issue has been considered as Plesk Migrator bug #PMT-3545 that was fixed in Plesk Migrator 2.6
Plesk Migrator is updated automatically, no special actions are required.
