- Plesk for Linux
Watchdog cannot detect that Apache is running, there are following errors in
CONFIG_TEXT: 'apache' failed protocol test [generic] at INET[127.0.0.1:7080].
Connecting to the Apache at 127.0.0.1 using the curl utility returns
503 Service Unavailableerror:
# curl -I 127.0.0.1:7080
HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable
A domain with following attributes exists on the server:
It is suspended;
It has 127.0.0.1 binding in the Apache configuration;
It is the first of all domains assigned to default IP address if sorted by name:
# ls /etc/httpd/conf/plesk.conf.d/ip_default/ | head -n1
Apache uses the first domain from
default_ip in order by name. Since this domain is suspended, Apache returns 503 error to the watchdog.
This is a Plesk bug with ID PPPM-7077, which will be fixed in future Plesk updates.
Log in to the Plesk server via SSH.
Run the following commands to modify Watchdog rules, so it will use
defaulthost instead of 127.0.0.1:
# sed -i.bkp 's/Host: 127.0.0.1/Host: default/' /usr/local/psa/var/modules/watchdog/data/monitrc.chk
# sed -i.bkp 's/Host: <default_apache_ip>/default/' /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc_vz.tpl
