File Sharing in Plesk shows 500 Internal Server Error: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection

Applicable to:

  • Plesk 12.0 for Windows

Symptoms

File Sharing page shows 500 Internal Server Error. The following error appears in Event Manager:

Parallels.Diagnostics.CounterSet - Error while retriving value from Counter "usedSpace-diskH" in set "disk-H".
Parallels.Diagnostics.PerformanceCounterException: Can not obtain counter value --->
System.IO.DriveNotFoundException: Could not find the drive 'H:\'.
The drive might not be ready or might not be mapped.

Also, the following error can appear:

Internal error: Error in cURL request: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to 192.168.1.100:443

Cause

SSL support for domain configured for File Sharing is turned off. File Sharing cannot re-read disk drives and shows this error then.

Resolution

Enable SSL support for a domain, since File Sharing uses it. If this did not help, create VHD H: disk, open File Sharing and delete VHD then.
