- Plesk Onyx for Linux
When Default value is set in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Apache & nginx Settings > Index files, Plesk 17.0 uses Apache server configuration file.
This is a known Plesk 17.0 bug with ID: #PPPM-6978.
Plesk 17.0 does not respect default config, using directoryIndex parameter of the main Apache configuration file and acts differently than described in the following Plesk Documentation article: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/customer-guide/websites-and-domains/hosting-settings/web-server-settings/apache-and-nginx-settings/adjusting-apache-and-nginx-settings.72037/
This bug is already fixed in Plesk 17.5 and it is expected to be fixed in the future Plesk 17.0 updates.
Alternatively, apply the following fix for Plesk 17.0:
- Log in to the server via SSH.
- Add the following lines to
directoryIndex = "index.html index.cgi index.pl index.php index.xhtml index.htm index.shtml"
- Reconfigure domains one by one:
# plesk bin site --list | while read site; do plesk repair web $site; echo "site" $site "was repaired"; done
